As with any other competitive game or sport, the professional poker players of the card game of poker make it so popular amongst fans across the country. Here we will feature four of the most popular poker players in the country; Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu.

Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson resides in Pacific Palisades, California and his nickname is Jesus. Ferguson has won five World Series of Poker bracelets as well as the bracelet for the 2000 World Series of Poker Main Event. He also won the 2008 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. In addition to the five World Series of Poker bracelets that Ferguson has won he is also the only player to have won three World Series of Poker circuit events. Ferguson was born in Los Angeles, California.

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth resides in Palo Alto, California and his nickname is The Poker Brat. Hellmouth holds a record eleven World Series of Poker bracelets and he won the Main Event of the 1989 World Series of Poker. When Hellmouth was 24 years old he won the Main Event at the 1989 World Series of Poker by defeating two time defending champion Johnny Chan in heads up play.

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey is a poker player who resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. His nicknames are The Tiger Woods of Poker and No Home Jerome. Ivey has won five World Series of Poker bracelets, has a World Poker Tour title, and made the final table of the World Poker Tour eight times, which is a world record. Ivey has also taken part in the European Poker Tour and the European Poker Masters as a poker player.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu is a poker player that resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and whose nickname is Kid Poker. Negreanu has won four bracelets from the World Series of Poker and has won two World Poker Tour championship titles. As of the calendar year 2008, Negreanu has won over $11 million, which is second on the all-time money list behind Jamie Gold and the money total is first among professional poker players who have never won the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. Negreanu is also the leading money winner on the World Poker Tour.
